All defined terms contained herein shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Terms of Service Agreement.
The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices:
- Information Collected
- Information Usage
Here are some examples of how we may use and share your Personal Information:
§ To contact you. For example, we may use your Personal Information to contact you regarding the Site, send you special offers and contact you about your participation in Campaigns.
§ To fulfill a service to you. For example, if you are entering a sweepstakes or contest, we may use your Personal Information in order to fulfill the terms of that promotion. This means that we may share the information for prize fulfillment purposes or mail carriers. We also may share your information with the co-sponsor of that promotion.
§ To combine with data to better our services or analyze our programs, Campaigns, and offerings. For example, Personal Information obtained in connection with the Site may be intermingled with and used by us in conjunction with information obtained through sources other than the Site, including both offline and online sources.
§ To fulfill the promises made in campaigns by brand ambassadors or agents. For example, if we use a team or brand ambassador to market products and services on college campuses, we may retain their information and/or share it with the other members of that Campaign to reward those brand ambassadors or otherwise inform them of other campaigns, offerings, or programs.
§ To affiliates, strategic partners, agents, third party marketers, independent contractors, or unaffiliated parties who help us maintain our Site and provide other administrative services to us (including, but not limited to, order processing and fulfillment, providing customer service, maintaining and analyzing data, sending customer, entry collection, winner selection and prize fulfillment for contests, sweepstakes and other promotions). We seek to ensure that any unaffiliated third parties will not use the Personal Information for any other purpose than to provide the administrative services for which they are responsible. Because such unaffiliated third-party service providers that help us administer our Site will have access to users' Personal Information, if you do not wish for our unaffiliated third-party service providers to have access to your information, please do not submit any Personal Information to us.
§ To comply with the law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary in order to conform to the requirements of law or prevent fraud. For example, Company may need to disclose personally identifiable information of representatives when required by law or to investigate suspected fraud or violation of our Terms of Services.
§ To third parties as part of any corporate reorganization process including, but not limited to, mergers, acquisitions, and sales of all or substantially all of our assets.
Company may also share aggregated and non-Personal information, such as demographic and statistical information, with any number of third parties, including its business partners, but no such information will be linked directly to your Personal Information. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.
- Social Media and Open Forums
On the RepNation Website, you will be granted the option of allowing Company as well as clients of Company the ability to contact you regarding Campaigns for which you qualify. Further, Company hereby disclaims all responsibility and liability should a client of Company contact you directly by virtue of your posting of Personal Information on the RepNation Website in a section where it was not explicitly requested, which is viewable and/or accessible by clients of Company (e.g., contact information listed on your resume). You should be aware that Personal Information which you voluntarily include and transmit online in a publicly accessible blog, chat room, social media platform or otherwise online, or that you share in an open forum such as an in-person panel or survey, may be viewed and used by others without any restrictions. We are unable to control such uses of your Personal Information, and by using such services you assume that risk.
- Log Files
We do track certain information such as type of browser and log on time for our own use. We use this information to track where our representatives may be coming from and what type of software they are using. We keep this information so we can continuously improve our representatives' online experience and improve the RepNation Website.
We work to protect your information by using Secure Socket Layers (SSL) software to encrypt your Personal Information when it is being transmitted to us. Access to data is limited to key members of our staff and is hosted at a third party facility. When representatives submit information via the RepNation Website, your information is protected both online and off-line. While we use both passwords and account information to protect information online, we also use reasonable efforts to protect representatives' information off-line. All of our representatives' Personal Information is restricted in our offices. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment and professionally maintained. Despite our best efforts, we do not guarantee that there will never be unauthorized access to your information.
- RepNation Website and Service Announcements
Under certain circumstances Company may need to contact specific or all representatives in order to make an important announcement about the Site or service changes. Representatives are not able to unsubscribe, or "opt-in/opt-out" of these announcements because they may contain very important information regarding their accounts. Before these measures are taken, however, Company will post information regarding changes directly on the RepNation Website. Company reserves the right to contact representatives to correct account errors or to supply important information Company deems relevant (all subject to local data protection laws).
